MASTER'S DEGREE IN STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT AND ADMINISTRATION OF MUNICIPAL SECURITY WITH AN INTERNATIONAL FOCUS
Municipalities have become strategic actors within the public security framework. The increasing complexity of criminal activity, the strengthening of organized crime, the rise in urban incivilities, and greater citizen demands require modern, professional, and evidence-based municipal security management models.
The Master's Degree in Strategic Management and Administration of Municipal Security with an International Focus It was created in response to this need, offering comprehensive training that combines governance, public policy, operational management, technological innovation and international cooperation, taking as a reference the models developed in the European Union and their adaptation to the context of Chile and Latin America.
This program prepares professionals to lead the municipal security of the future, integrating strategic planning, data analysis, emerging technologies, and inter-institutional collaborative work.
MASTER'S STRUCTURE
The master's program is structured as follows: two university graduatesan international internship and a Master's Thesis (TFM). The two graduates are:
- University Diploma in Governance, Public Policy and Municipal Security
- University Diploma in Operational Management, Innovation and Technology of Municipal Security
International Internship + Master's Thesis
Upon completion of the master's program, graduates will be qualified to perform in high-responsibility positions within the field of municipal security and public policy, such as:
- Director or Chief of Municipal Security
- Person in charge of the Municipal Public Safety Plan
- Operational leadership and territorial coordinators
- Municipal officials from the areas of security, prevention and community relations
- Public sector professionals linked to citizen security
- CConsultants and advisors in public policy and local security
The program strengthens leadership skills, strategic decision-making, and operational management, enabling graduates to drive institutional modernization, innovation, and digital transformation processes at the municipal level.

The registration process will be managed directly by the Director of TAU IACE, who is responsible for centralizing and processing all applications.
