On September 10IUNIT celebrated the launch of its new Master's Degree in Alternative Investments and Corporate Finance, With the help of Ignacio Cid, program director, at a meeting where the main features of this new training proposal were revealed.
The program was created with the aim of preparing students and professionals who want to orient or advance their careers towards areas such as M&A, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, real estate, infrastructure, or structured finance, sectors in which technical specialization and practical market knowledge are fundamental.
During the presentation, Ignacio Cid explained the approach used to design the master's program and the importance of bringing academic training closer to the real-life situations that professionals encounter in their daily work.
A training program designed to introduce students to the investment sector
Many professionals from areas such as auditing, consulting or corporate finance reach a point in their career where they seek to specialize and make the leap into the field of investments.
This process requires combining a solid technical preparation —in subjects such as advanced finance, financial modeling, or company valuation— with a real understanding of how the sector works and its selection processes.
The new Master in Alternative Investments and Corporate Finance at IUNIT is based precisely on these two pillars.
The program opts for an eminently practical methodology, based on real-life cases, common situations in the professional environment, and preparation for interviews and selection processes, with the purpose of enabling the student to apply the knowledge acquired from the very beginning.
Active professionals in the classroom
One of the main differentiating elements of the master's program is its faculty.
The program is structured in eleven modules taught by active professionals specialized in the different areas covered by the training: investment banking, private equity, real estate, venture capital, infrastructure, M&A and debt instruments.
In this way, students not only acquire technical knowledge, but can also learn firsthand how the sector currently operates, what the most in-demand skills are, and what situations they will encounter in their future professional activity.
A format designed to combine training and work
The master's program will be taught in a in person in Madrid, on a fortnightly basis.
In total, the program comprises 24 sessions distributed between October 2026 and June 2027, with a structure specially designed so that participants can combine training with their professional activity.
Who is it for?
