Last Thursday, IUNITcelebrated his Graduation ceremony for the 2024-2025 class In a moving ceremony in the heart of Madrid, an event that not only marked the end of an academic career, but also the beginning of new career paths for our students.

One of the highlights of the day was the intervention of our matron of honorEncarna Samitier, president of the renowned newspaper 20 minutes, who gave an unforgettable speech full of inspiration, reflection and closeness.

A leading voice for a generation of leaders

Encarna Samitier began her presentation by thanking IUNIT for the invitation, highlighting the importance of being part of an institution that "combines the strength of youth with the solvency of a century-old foundation, with a distinctly international character and a presence in more than 15 countries."

Addressing the recent graduates, he delivered a clear and necessary message:

“We live in exciting and challenging times at the same time… but they are also times of creativity, technological advancement, entrepreneurship, and sustainability. And you are perfectly equipped with the survival kit that your master's degrees and degrees have given you.”

Throughout his speech, he emphasized the importance of University education, not only as an acquisition of knowledge, but as an attitude and commitment to society:

“Training is the lever that opens doors, fosters critical thinking, and moves the world.”

A message about the future: technology, values, and vocation

One of the most applauded moments was her reflection on the role of technology and artificial intelligence. With a balanced and humane perspective, Encarna encouraged students to view technology as a ally:

“Artificial intelligence is processed human intelligence. It's a tool, not a substitute for emotion, creativity, or your own voice.”

He also invited the graduates to always maintain fundamental values such as honesty, effort, commitment, and courage, and to trust in rigorous journalism as a pillar of a free and well-informed society.

A godmother to remember

???? “Thank you for letting me be part of your story,” said Encarna in her speech. At IUNIT, the gratitude is mutual.
